Katherine Jackson Talks Michael Memories

Earlier this week, Katherine Jackson opened up about Michael on Today, where she defended her son and said that he wasn't a child molester.

Now, she's opened up further about memories of her son.

"Michael was 11 years old when we moved there and he stayed there until he was well into his 20s before he moved. It just brings back a lot of memories, but they're sad memories to me now because he's not here."

Katherine on Michael's trial for child molestation charges:

"Yes, I was there every day. I wanted to be there for him, because I knew it was lies. I prayed for the truth to come, because I knew if the truth came out that my son would walk away and he did."

We can certainly see how it would be difficult to revisit these memories. Hopefully Katherine will gain more peace of mind after the Conrad Murray trial is over and done with…whenever that may be.

Sad Story: "After September 11th he wanted me to live a full life"

Beverly Eckert lost her husband, Sean Rooney, in the south tower of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. She remembers her husband's warm brown eyes, dark curly hair, and that he was "a good hugger."

The two met at a high school dance, when they were only 16 years old. When Rooney died, they were 50.

On Sept. 11, Rooney called his wife at 9:30 a.m. He told her he was on the 105th floor, and he'd been trying to get out.

"He told me that he, you know, hadn't had any success and now the stairwell was full of smoke," Eckert says. "I asked if it hurt for him to breathe and he paused for a moment, and says, 'No.' He loved me enough to lie."

After a while, they stopped talking about escape routes and instead focused on the happiness they'd shared together.

"I told him that I wanted to be there with him, but he said, no, no, he wanted me to live a full life," she says.

As the smoke got thicker, Rooney whispered, " 'I love you,' over and over," Eckert says. "I just wanted to crawl through the phone lines to him, to hold him, one last time."

Then she heard a sharp crack, followed by the sound of an avalanche. The building was beginning to collapse. Eckert called Rooney's name into the phone repeatedly, and then she just sat there, pressing the phone to her heart.

"I think about that last half-hour with Sean all the time. I remember how I didn't want that day to end, terrible as it was, I didn't want to go to sleep because as long as I was awake, it was still a day that I'd shared with Sean," she says.

Rooney had kissed Eckert goodbye that morning before going to work. She says, "I could still say that was just a little while ago, that was only this morning. And I just think of myself as living life for both of us now. And I like to think that Sean would be proud of me."

Beverly Eckert taped her StoryCorps tribute to Sean Rooney five years after he died. She became an advocate for families affected by Sept. 11, but she didn't live to hear the news of Osama bin Laden's death. She died two years ago, in the crash of Continental Flight 3407. She was on her way to Buffalo to celebrate Rooney's birthday.

Catherine Middleton and Sarah Burton have successfully kept the best-guarded secret in fashion history. The incredibly moving moment when the new Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of her car in an Alexander McQueen dress was the fantasy everyone in fashion has been dreaming would come true.

The dress—pure and yet conveying the grandeur of its importance—is an exquisitely modern example of a personal collaboration between a bride and her designer.

Catherine has followed her own taste: a V-neck décolleté and a silhouette that stayed close to her torso, and long, delicate lace sleeves that evoked, perhaps, the wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956.

On her head, she wore the Cartier Halo tiara (lent by the Queen, who herself was given it by her mother on the occasion of her eighteenth birthday) which carried the nuanced balance of simplicity, regalia, and family meaning.

Technically faultless in its scale and construction, the dress allowed the bride to move with ease, carrying all the weight of British history and expectation without the slightest wrinkle or hitch.

That such a feat of appropriateness should have been accomplished in intensely secret conditions—and continually denied by the designer—is in itself incredible in a world of Internet gossip, iPhone photos, and instant communication. More important, it was the symbolism of a partnership in which the individual wishes of a young woman have been expressed and enabled by another young woman of vast talent whose understanding of fashion's role in serving, and underlining, this historic moment is nonpareil.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge off to California

Get ready for royal wedding fever part two. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, formerly known as Prince William and Kate Middleton, will be visiting California from July 8 - 10.

St. James Palace confirmed the news that the newlyweds will visit the Golden State after their tour of Canada, but their itinerary has yet to be announced. The Duke of Cambridge has never visited the United States in an official capacity, and this will mark the Duchess of Cambridge's first time ever to the country.

Lady GaGa Producer Talks Born This Way Album!

Such a clear vision for this album! We cannot WAIT to see how it's expressed!

Now that Lady GaGa's highly anticipated new album, Born This Way, is only weeks away from being released, one of its producers, Fernando Garibay, has opened up about his role of co-musical director, and what he and the pop star envisioned when working together!

"She asked me to musically direct the album with her. Basically, that means for me, that meant to push her vision out for these records, for the album, but every song is really special. Every song tells almost like a musical. It just kind of keeps going forward. We did this [dance] song that possibly might be the third single; it's called 'Marry the Night.' It's probably one of my favorite songs on the album. It tells about being yourself and individuality and never forgetting who you are. What's interesting is that the great thing about dance songs is for me most of the time they start off as ballads and that's the approach I've been trying to keep going. We wrote songs, particularly GaGa wrote these songs, to live in a dance environment. Yeah, they're dance, but I think the whole thing, too, is that they're songs and genuine to her. I'm excited about the whole album. I'm proud of the way we got together and made this album. It's a collective of some cool people all trying to facilitate her and to explore her vision, her statement. I'm excited for albums to be albums again, and this is leading in that direction. … I think the message, the big statement was obviously the single, and I think it's the single, 'Born This Way,' serves as an introduction to the album. Again, it's a statement about equality."

This perfectly captures what we love so much about GaGa - her ability to take REAL, personal and relatable issues and creatively inject them into infectious, fascinating dance tracks!

We couldn't be more thrilled to see her vision come to life with each song off this album!

Italian College warns students-Beware of Jersey shore

An Italian university is warning students that "Jersey Shore" will be taping in a building used for student housing ... and TMZ has learned school officials are taking drastic measures to keep the kids away from the GTL

Officials at the Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici fired off a letter to students saying:

"Dear Students,

Our Housing dept. has informed us that starting May 9th there will be shootings inside the 2nd floor apartment of your building. We advise you to NOT sign any paper, let anyone in, and keep us informed."

University sources tell us the I.L.D.M. is so serious about keeping students in a guido-free environment ... officials have offered "alternative housing close to campus" to anyone who wants to get away from the madness.

We're told the school has also offered to issue a partial refund to anyone who has already pre-paid for their rent ... and wants to leave.
